Privacy policy
Effective October 1, 2026
Radio Rumble is run by Pheirce Bytes, LLC. This page explains what we collect when you play, why, and what you can ask us to do with it. The short version: we use your email to sign you in and to send game updates, and we never sell or share your email address.
What we collect
- Your email address. You sign in with a one-time code we email you; there is no password. Your email is how we recognise your account.
- Your display name. Shown to other players on scoreboards, in the play log and in chat. It starts as the part of your email before the @, and you can change it.
- Your game activity. The games you create or join, the songs you pick, drop and steal, your dark horse, and your points.
- How you use the app. Which screens you open in a game, how long you spend on each, and which features you open (like the song list, the guide or Discord), recorded with your account so we can see how the game is played and make it better.
- Email addresses you invite. When you invite someone to a game, we store the address you enter and email them the invitation.
- Usage analytics. The web app uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which features are used. We don't use it for advertising.
We never ask for your real name, address, phone number or payment details.
How we use it
- To sign you in and keep you signed in.
- To run your games: drafts, scores, the play log and notifications about your turn.
- To send email you've asked for: login codes and game invitations.
- To understand how the game is used, so we can fix problems and improve it.
Who else handles it
We don't sell, rent or trade your information, and we don't share it with advertisers. A few services process it on our behalf, only to run Radio Rumble:
- Amazon Web Services hosts our servers and database, and delivers our emails.
- Vercel hosts the web app and this site.
- Google Analytics measures usage of the web app.
- Discord hosts each game's chat. Messages you send from the in-app chat are posted to the game's Discord channel under your display name, and what you read in the app comes from that channel. Discord's own privacy policy applies to Discord.
- Amazon: the app occasionally shows affiliate links to products on Amazon, on the scoreboard and play log and as cards in a game's in-app chat (these cards are not posted to Discord). We record when an offer is shown to you, dismissed or clicked, only so we don't show offers too often; we don't send Amazon anything about you. Clicking a link takes you to Amazon, which may set cookies under Amazon's own privacy policy.
On your device
The app stores your sign-in session in your browser so you stay signed in, plus a few small preferences (such as which chat messages you've already seen). Signing out removes your session.
You can make song lists on the rankings page without signing in. Those lists are stored only in your browser's local storage, on that device: each list's name, colour and icon and the songs you put on it, with nothing about an account. They stay there until you clear the site's data in your browser, or until you sign in on that browser and open your ranking lists: the app then saves them to your account and removes the ones it saved from the browser.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account and game history while your account exists. You can ask us to delete your account and the data tied to it at any time by emailing hello@radiorumble.net from the address you sign in with. Messages already posted to a Discord channel are held by Discord.
Children
Radio Rumble isn't directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll remove the account.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update this page and its effective date.
